Nov. 30th, 2005 - 4:20pm - I've been here with Nikki all day helping here out around the house and getting work done on her site. Right now, she really can't do anything. She has had to turn down work and been overly stressed with all the things that are going on in her life. She did speak to the doctor the other day and as much as sometimes she feels better, her recovery is going to take longer than one would think. Its hard to understand. One day, she starts feeling better and wants to get off the couch and get stuff done, but then the next day, she'll get nausious, dizzy and her head will be in a lot of pain. The one good thing is that she still has a sense of humor and I've been able to get some smiles out of her. As a matter of fact, she even has an ongoing joke regarding the fact that she doesn't have any smell or taste .... "For an Italian girl from the south, that is just sacreligious" .... that comes out of her mouth frequently lately especially at meal time. Untill she has her appointment with the doctor, we really won't know the details of recovery and how her head is healing. So for now .... we'll keep helping her out and trying to keep her as happy as possible.

I've been trying my hardest to handle all the needs she has and the needs of her family. I also know thet Nikki does not like it when people know her business. I've talked to a bunch of people that know her and everyone agrees that giving some basic updates is the right thing to do. There really are a lot of people that care about her and it wouldn't be fair if someone did not tell people the truth about her condition instead of them reading posts on chat boards that contain rumors and speculation. People have asked how they can help and where can they send flowers and/or donations, so here is that info.
